DUELERZ - Logo contest

A card shop, called Duelerz, just opened a couple blocks away from me.

My boyfriend, Davon, happened to be working at office max when the owner came in to get some flyers made. He told Davon about the store and its grand opening and that they were having a contest to pick a logo for their shop.

Davon shared this info with me and I became interested.

I've never personally been in any public contests before, so I'm glad I at least tried and entered something. Hopefully they pick my design, but if they don't I'm not gonna be too upset about it.

Here is the preliminary drawing I did.

And this is after I took it into photoshop.

"Bear" - Walk Cycle Animation

"Bear" - Walk Cycle

This is a generic walk cycle with my bear character.
He's very happy and wears a scarf to keep warm.
This character is made up of mostly circles (as are most of my character it seems).
He needs a little work I think with squash and strech and his scarf needs to follow the shoulders.
A little work needs to be done, but none the less it's a walk cycle.

"Panda" - Animation Test

Preliminary Sketches:

 Animation Test:

"Panda"

This is a test for my panda character I created.
He's mostly the shape of a squishy sphere so there was a lot of squash and stretch involved with him.
The panda begins with just a simple look back and forth and then a little hesitation, ending with a small hop towards the opposite side of the screen.

"Chicken Knight" - Cutouts Animation Test

"Chicken  Knight" - animation test

This was a test for my final project in experimental animation.
The main character is a chicken in a knight costume.
In this scene he is just walking across the screen through a pan of the town.
Technically there are 3 layers of animation going on.
I had to move the background which was the main part of the town, then the character himself and the windmill was on the top layer.
I think for a test it turned out really well, considering I don't deal with pans all too often.
